“Early the next morning Jesus went out to an isolated place. The crowds searched everywhere for him, and when they finally found him, they begged him not to leave them. But he replied, ‘I must preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God in other towns, too, because that is why I was sent.’”
Luke 4:42-43 NLT
Jesus kept moving. He did not just wait for the crowds to come to the place he was instead, he walked from city to city to preach the good news of the Kingdom of God.
While in our church there is a lot of people coming every Sunday, it does not mean we should stop here in Yokohama, neither be waiting for more people to come. Jesus teaches us that for the Good News about the Kingdom of God to expand we need to keep moving forward. We need to expand. We need to go outside. We need to go to other towns. That is how Jesus did. That is how we should do.
Jesus, we have a lot of plans of reaching out other towns around Yokohama. I pray that you lead us this year into church planting. I pray that your church in New Hope Yokohama understands that it is a calling you are giving us. Bless the new churches that will be born this year. In your name I pray.
