King of All Nations

“And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations. Who will not fear you, Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous deeds have been revealed.””Revelation 15:3-4 NLT

For 2 years, I was in missions with people from more than 40 different nationalities. It was a very unique ministry. We were about 400 people serving God together. But one thing that always made my heart rejoice was to worship together. Always when I led the worship, I would choose at least one old song (a hymn), and invite groups of people representing different languages to sing it in their own language. I could say that on those moments I felt a little bit of what heavens could look like. Korean, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese, Dutch, African, Russian, English, etc… any language could come up to the stage and we would all singing the same song with a different sound. It was unique. When I read this verse, I remember that.

Live a life desiring to see this day. The day when all nations will worship God, the Almighty.

Lord, thank you for this year that is coming to an end. Thank you for the work of your Holy Spirit in Japan during this year. Thank you that the nation of Japan will come and worship before you too. I pray for your kingdom to expand here in this land in the coming year. I pray you give us strength to keep your good work moving here in Japan. In Jesus name I pray.
